Hospitable Dynamic Pricing vs PriceLabs: do you still need PriceLabs?
Since April 2025, Hospitable has included its own dynamic pricing in its paid plans. If you're on Hospitable and paying for PriceLabs on top, the obvious question is whether you're paying twice. Here's what each one actually does.
The short answer
- you want simple and hands-off
- you're happy for it to pick your comparable listings
- you'd rather not pay for a second tool
- you like tuning: it lists 30+ customisations
- you want deeper market data and dashboards
- you manage several properties and want fine control

Are you paying twice?
If you're on a paid Hospitable plan, dynamic pricing is already included. Hospitable says so plainly in its launch announcement, inviting hosts to "stop overpaying" for tools it now includes. PriceLabs is an extra cost on top: $19.99 a month for one UK listing, or $49.97 a month for three, plus taxes, in US dollars.
That doesn't make PriceLabs a waste. It's a deeper tool. But it does mean the question isn't "which is better?" so much as "is the extra control worth the extra cost for my properties?"
Who picks your competitors?
This is the biggest practical difference. Hospitable chooses comparable listings automatically, "in the background", using dozens of attributes including review scores. You can't see or change the list. PriceLabs builds neighbourhood data from up to 350 similar-sized listings within a radius of up to 15 km, and sells custom market dashboards as an add-on.
If you know exactly which handful of lodges or cottages your guests weigh you against, check how each tool lets you see, and use, that list. It matters more than any feature count.
Limits each one states itself
Hospitable
- Works only in markets Hospitable supports, with no guaranteed timeframe for new ones.
- Setup isn't available on mobile or small screens, and only the primary account holder can switch it on or off.
- Platform discounts and promotions aren't taken into account and can take the price below your minimum.
- There's no master switch to turn it off for every property at once.
PriceLabs
- One automatic sync a day as standard; extra syncs and real-time sync are paid add-ons.
- Bills UK hosts in US dollars, plus taxes.
- Market dashboards and the listing optimiser are paid extras.
You don't have to choose all at once
Hospitable lets you run its pricing on some properties and another tool, like PriceLabs, on others. You can also preview Hospitable's pricing without disconnecting PriceLabs. If you're unsure, try one property on each for a month and compare. Just remember Hospitable's own advice: when you switch a property over, remove it from the old tool so you're not charged for it.

No. Hospitable chooses comparable listings automatically. PriceLabs builds neighbourhood data from up to 350 similar listings nearby and sells custom market dashboards from $9.99 a month.
Where PeakRate fits
We use Hospitable on our own lodges, and PeakRate connects directly to it. What we missed in both tools above was simple: seeing our price against the specific listings our guests actually compare us with, night by night. That's what PeakRate adds.
- You choose your competitors. Accept the ones PeakRate finds, add any listing by its link, or remove one. No paid upgrade.
- Every competitor, every night. Their price, when they're booked, and who just cut or raised, next to a suggested price for you.
- Works with Hospitable. PeakRate sends the prices you approve through Hospitable to your connected channels, and nothing changes until you approve it. More integrations are coming soon; see the latest.
- Built for UK hosts. Pounds, UK school and bank holidays, and revenue after your channel fees and costs.
